Aigli Skala Maries Deluxe

Amazing seaview from the maisonette balcony - really the highlight of the stay! Beautiful overview of the bay stretching the eyesight to Mount Athos on Halkidiki. The appartment is very close to the Atspas beach and to the village (grossary shop, restaurants, bakery), so everything you need is within a walking distance. The appartment is brand new and furnished with great taste and to the highest contemporary standards - compliments in particular for the lighting! The host is friendly and helpful (with a very warm smile and attitude). Thanks for everything 😀

The kitchen is exactly as described - a kitchen box (no oven, no washing machine, no dishwasher). This means that it is excellent for organising breakfast, but cooking any other (more complex) meal becomes a challenge because of the limited space and facilities. Otherwise the kitchen contains various cups, cutlery, dishes, coffee machine, and you have everything you need for having a snack/breakfast. For the other meals you need to go to the cozy restaurants in the village.

We spent a week holiday in this location as extended family (5 adults and 2 teenagers), occupying an apartment (maisonette) at the 2nd floor, with 2 double bed bedrooms, bathroom and a living room with a kitchenette, and balcony with sea view, and another one at the ground floor, with direct access to a small terrace and a small pool, having a double bed bedroom, bathroom and a living room with a kitchenette. Everything in the apartments is brand new and elegant, with all necessary amenities. The building is in a quiet area and very close (5 minutes walk) to Aspas beach in Skala Marion and a supermarket. The distance to the center of Skala Marion, with the main taverns and the main beach of the town, is 15 minutes. The host, Litsa, is very pleasant and willing to provide all necessary support.

The bedroom at the ground floor apartment does not have window, forcing my parents-in-law to sleep with the bedroom door open so that they can have enough air and sense the morning light. The kitchens, while nice and equipped with necessary tools, are small and rather impractical due to space constraints, but I suppose that's not a big downside if you don't necessarily intend to have breakfast in the apartment. There is a construction in progress next to the property, which somehow detracts from the sea view that the property offers.
