Beautiful place with amazing views! Located in the middle of the tea plantations making it ideal for dreamy morning and evening walks (we enjoyed the 5 pm walk very much). Good food and breakfast.

The reception staff were friendly and meant well but came across as young, bored and unprofessional. For example leaving the reception unattended, constantly distracted on their phones or serving dinner on a different time than agreed. Small things you wouldn't expect in a place of this price range and that easily can be improved with a more senior manager present. For the rest, we loved our stay at the Teanest.

"Exquisitely charming hotel and gardens"

10.0

Just about the most incredible, cosy, charming english cottage experience, with an amazing garden and lovely walk through tea plantations, and a lovely conservatory for meals. We fell in love with everything, including the hammock. It was all soo beautiful, would have loved to stay for a month! Also very nice toiletries, esp the body lotion.

We would have loved to go on the birdwatching tour and evening tea walk, but unfortunately, both were cancelled due to the weather.

The staff were really polite and helpful. They accommodated our request for making the arrangements for my son's birthday. The food was really good.

The listing told that the room will have a king size and queen size bed. But there was only a double cot in addition to the king size bed. So we found it uncomfortable. Also we were not warned of monkeys in the property.

"It was good"

The intercom was out of order and at most of the time there was no one at the reception. Since it was cold, even on request the staff didn't add more wood fire to the fire place

The reception area didn't have enough place to accomodate the guests

Beautiful location although rural. Quiet, friendly staff, nice vintage style rooms.

We stayed in the annex which is quite different to the main site and seemed a little forgotten about. Sadly I had a large electric shock from a plug too which was painful and scary as I was pregnant.

Friendly and helpful staff, Good view, good food,

Both teanest and annex are very secluded and away from market. It's tough to find a commute Even going to local market costs 500 to and from by rickshaw

"Not a Value for money stay. You Pay a Lot only for Tranquility."

Breakfast was quite good, and the spread was also good. The staff were friendly too. The location is very nice away from all the noise and with good views of the tea estate.

The price charged is quite high and one expects some good view from the window but unfortunately there is none as on one side we have the verandah and with the staff walking around all the time and on the other side it is just a wall. The beautiful part which is showed in the pics belongs to the owner and is out of bounds for the guests. Also, the rooms which have a bit of privacy is only two and almost the same price as the one with without any views. If one expects the room with good views this is not the right property but if one wants only peace and quiet and good views nearby this place is good. Finally, there was a guided tea Plantation Walk but the guide was interested in showing around for only two guests who may have tipped him more or maybe he expects a good tip as they were NRIs from the looks but sadly he doesn't realise that resident Indians nowadays tip more generous than NRI or Foreigner's.
