Meadow House Holiday Park

Check in was easy, from 3pm. The caravan was clean, modern, light and airy and plenty big enough. The park was spotless, dinning in the bar was pleasant and the food nice. The walk to Saundersfoot was downhill and relatively easy (about 10/15 minutes) - although we didn’t fancy the uphill walk back so we took a taxi (not helped by all the bags after a days shopping 😀). We used the car mostly to visit local sites so found the location well situated for exploring. Worth mentioning - the bed was very, very comfortable!

The hot tub wasn’t great, most jets not working - temp control complicated and no instructions - and the cover awkward, but 2jets on 2 seats were ok so didn’t bother escalating to be fair (am sure they would have sorted it). Also, no instructions for heating in the caravan, only boiler operation - luckily it was a sunny September week so we didn’t need it. We weren’t a fan of having to make our own bed on arrival, last thing we needed after a 5 hour drive and having to unpack - but maybe that’s just us. Overall, we enjoyed it though as the park was lovely, the area fabulous and it was great value for a weeks stay.

The caravan was immaculately clean, the smell was amazing! The welcome treats, were a nice touch and very appreciated ! It was our first stay and will return in the near future.

The location and view was beautiful. We didn’t expect to have wine and Welsh cakes in the lodge when we arrived, which was so lovely. Also the jacuzzi was heated up ready for us to use 😊

The mobile home was not the one that was pictured, I booked one with its own verandah, the one we stayed in did not have one! The door lock was broken so difficult to unlock the door, on arrival we had to go back to reception and ask if the wrong key had been given to us, the receptionist came back to the mobile and tried, she could not unlock the door so called maintenance, who gave it a wiggle and said there is something wrong you need to push the key in , then pull it out a bit then wiggle it , it will open! each time we came back it took my husband a few mins to open the door (I didnt manage it) so my grandson and I just got wetter than we were :( A window lock was broken, one of the curtains was hanging off its hooks, we had to put the curtain up, some of the crockery still had baked bean residue left on them ,none of the kithen knives for prep use, were broken and would not slice butter. On our last day, in the afternoon we tried to book the restaurant/bar for food, the message said there was no-one to answer the call at the moment someone would get back to us, we left a message to say we would like to eat at 7oclock, one replied to the message, so we assumed a table would be reserved, in actual fact the whole of the reception/ swimming pool/reception and bar had closed leaving no facilities on site. The bin area was a complete disgrace. Did'nt find the park child friendly .

The property was a short drive to beaches & places of interest. The site had a restaurant, gym & small pool although opening times were quite limiting. The property had a nice hot tub and veranda to sit out on. Staff were chatty & helpful.

The property smelt strongly of dog and needed airing when we arrived. The departure time of 9am is much earlier than most properties I have previously rented. The pool closed early especially if you’d been out for a day and would have been nice to swim when getting back.
