Kaunas Old Town Apartment

Beautiful apartment, it provided everything you could want for your stay.

The apartment is in wery old building it’s some parts of building is collapsing. Inside is nice new renovation. But main reason what I don’t like owners renting apartment with normal option to heat up apartment. Air conditioner is there but no controller left. So it’s off . Central heating also not working because owner takes of switch of from radiator which controls heating. So heating was off. And temperature in Kaunas was 7 to 10 at night so I get freezing all 4 nights and days. This is no respect for customer from owners!

I had to book quite late but still the host was very responsive. The flat is quite spacious, modern, renovated and have all the needed appliances. There is a grocery store a few minutes away

The flat itself is great but the building is quite old and it is on the ground floor, so quite dark. Still a great stay.

The photos are very deceiving, the building looks likes it’s gonna fall down and is covered with spiders

The host has no screens on the windows and tons of spiders sneak in the unit and hang outside the windows. I killed 2 spiders in the unit and saw 2 more on the ceiling I couldn’t reach. Once I reached the host regarding my discomfort, the host replied that it’s normal for old town. Instead of apologizing the sent me house rules once again 1 hour before the check out. The host is rude and weird and the place is disgusting. The sheets were also very old so I slept with my clothes on. Coming from United States I’m in deep shock people are allowed to rent things so ugly.
