The Macarena Beach Hostel

An sich hatte das Hostel ein gutes, sauberes Bett mit Vorhang, Steckdose und Lampe, sowie mehreren Verstaumöglichkeiten. Das Bett war auch bequem zum schlafen und das Frauenzimmer selbst war auch ruhig. Nett, dass es ein Biliardtisch gibt und man findet sehr schnell Bekanntschaften. Man hat auch mehrere Duschmöglichkeiten.

Sehr laut am Abend und unaufgeräumt von den Gästen. Das Personal konnte dafür nichts, aber trotzdem musste man am morgen selber Sachen von anderen wegräumen, wenn man ordentlich frühstücken wollte. Es gab leider am morgen in der Dusche kein Warmwasser, gegen Abend bei meiner Ankunft hat das jedoch gut funktioniert.

Personál mi nabídl deku navíc, když bylo potřeba. Fajn poloha. Postele měly záclonky a adaptéry.

V noci byl hostelu velký hluk. Obsluha neutrální

A fun, inexpensive, clean hostel with a kitchen and the best vibe in Lagos. Stefan is an excellent host and works to make a pleasant stay.

Difficult to criticise

Nice and social, beds comfy and the curtains block out so much light! Stayed at olive hostel which was a lot less social and not as nice. Would recommend here and stay here again

Kitchen kind of smelt which then made the living room smell a bit but otherwise all was great

Absolutely loved the staff and the vibe of the place One of the best place to meet people, socialize and enjoy your day. The owner Tommy was very nice and made sure he showed to all the secret hidden place around the coast

First of all, one of the staff members was friendly and kind. She gave me clear instructions. The room was spacious even though I stayed in a 12-bed mixed room. I got storage space as well as a locker, which was helpful. The location was amazing. You can access a beautiful beach and the city centre on foot within 15 minutes.

The hot water wasn’t available throughout my stay. I stayed there for 2 nights and tried 2 different showers, but neither of them worked. The hostel was too loud. I think it’s one of the good parts of hostels, but many guests, maybe over 10 people, played loud music in a common space for 2 nights in a row, which is too much for me. Even at 2 am, some people were chatting there at a normal volume. If you prefer a calm place to stay, I personally don’t recommend it. If you’re a party person, go for it. You will enjoy it. I’m the type of person who likes interacting with other guests in a calm way, so I didn’t join in, but they were friendly. I guess most of them live here.
