The owner of the hotel is very friendly in nature and even guided us about Ayodhya city Darshan. The Ram Temple is just 500 m away from the hotel location.

The location is very nearby Ayodhya Dham Railway Station and its walking distance from Ram Janma Bhumi & Hanuman Gadi.

This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I don’t usually write reviews, especially negative ones, but this scam was so blatant that I feel compelled to warn others. If you’re considering booking here, read this carefully and do so at your own risk. I’m sure the owner will respond with his usual rude and dismissive attitude, trying to discredit my experience, but the facts speak for themselves. I booked this hotel through Booking.com, which clearly stated “no prepayment required.” Despite this, when I called the hotel after booking, the owner insisted I needed to pay a deposit to secure my reservation. I refused, as the booking policy didn’t require one, and he also attempted to charge me more than the price listed on Booking.com. That should have been a red flag. When we arrived after a long 12-hour journey, exhausted and ready to check in, the owner casually informed us that our room had been given away because we hadn’t paid a deposit. When I pointed out that my booking was confirmed and asked how he could just give away our room, he showed no remorse and simply repeated the same excuse. Instead of offering a proper solution, he directed us to another guesthouse, claiming they had availability. With no other choice and it being late at night, we went to check out this so-called alternative accommodation. It was fine, but significantly more expensive than what I had originally booked. When I raised this issue with the owner of Vastalya Bhawan, he was not only completely unhelpful but also shockingly rude. His exact response? “If you want to stay, stay. If not, leave.” With no other viable options at that hour, we were forced to stay at the new guesthouse. Later, I discovered the real reason behind this whole ordeal—this was a calculated scam. The owner of Vastalya Bhawan gets commission from the other guesthouse for every guest he redirects there. On top of that, after moving us elsewhere, he fraudulently marked our booking on Booking.
