Phangan Cove Beach Resort

It was close to Orion, the yoga studio I was going to. The food was very good

It wasn’t as advertised. I would not call it a resort. Because of the expense we had higher expectations. It was hard to find, rooms were so close to each other, bed was extremely hard- like a boxspring with no mattress on top, pillows were too thick and heavy, bathroom door was broken. There were just a few beach chairs. A lady claimed 4 and no one joined her while we were there. You have to go a long way out to actually swim once you get over the broken coral and squishy bottom. Then the water is divine once you reach the sand.

The worst place in Koh phangan. Firstly there is a long and uncomfortable dirt road leading to the place that cars or bikes can't drive through. Secondly we did the mistake of closing 5 nights in advance and paying for them upon arrival. Some rooms look actually quite inviting and these are what they show you in the pictures. Once you arrive though they throw you in a disgusting room, with spiderwebs everywhere, tears in the sheets, dust on the shelves and dirt on the floor. Upon requesting some assistance and a possibility of moving to the nicer rooms reception yells at you that you closed through booking and not through them and starting to boast that they are at max capacity and we are lucky to have our room and this is the price other people are willing to pay. After that they told us to speak directly with booking about cancellation even though money handling was through the "resort". Once booking answered us both us and booking are trying to reach the property but both is us are being ghosted by them. I can't stress enough what a horrible experience this was, and I hope this message helps you in thinking twice about closing here. Do yourself a favor and stay next door and the sea view resorts.

It was close to the chabad house so it was convenient for Yom Kippur

It wasn’t clean, and there was so much mosquitoes, bugs and flies, as wall as spiders and caterpiller in the room. We couldn’t sleep well. When we asked the staff to change our sheets (due to a caterpiller that climbed on our bed while we were asleep), the staff didn’t believe us and didn’t come during 5 hours, and only after the third time we asked and needed to show evidences, came one of the staff members who was completely drunk and changed the sheets, after that he lied down on our bed.
