Devon River Glamping Pods

Spacious well equipped and charming chalet with an excellent large balcony in a nice equine setting.

Make sure you follow the instructions to find the chalet, including the attached photos, very helpful but only if you read them first!

It was so beautiful and private with an atmosphere to relax and enjoy some quiet time in nature.

Many thoughtful touches, like fire lighters for the fire pit as well as some Scottish treats, and fairy lights on the porch. The Pod was really well laid out, making great use of the space, and the location is gorgeous. The duvet and pillows were very comfortable.

As the bed is a sofabed, the mattress wasn't quite up to par with a real bed. Also, the TV turned on at 3am each night - I assume a previous guest must have accidentally set a timer, but it gave me a fright.

The pod is rather compact yet it has all what you need, the communication with the manager was excellent and we enjoyed staying next to a field full of horses - all very calming

A small 2-ring cooker would have been great but in the end we improvised

I love how rustic the pods are, just gorgeous. The hospitality was also fantastic, not to mention the views from the pod and the overall location. Everything's outlined very clearly and we had no issues finding the place, checking in, or checking out. If anything, the host was even willing to let us in earlier than the specified times. Very accommodating, friendly, and respectful of guests wanting a contact-free stay. We spent most of our time at the fireplace next to pod 4, we really enjoyed watching the horses, bunnies, and sunsets from here. The horses just a short walk away were also so friendly and were a highlight of our trip.

We're not big fans of "communal" areas, that said, we were lucky we got the fire pit next to pod 4 to ourselves. Next time, I'd prefer to book more than one of the pods, as I don't feel they're separated enough for the privacy I was after. Overall, this didn't hinder our experience - the place is beautiful, clean, and well-equipped, and the host was lovely.

Super clean and comfortable. Loved the matress topper for the sofa bed.
