Stars Dunes Private Camp

Wonderful night in the desert. The camp is small and cosy, the hosts were incredibly kind, and the food was delicious. The camp is located among massive sand dunes. The sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking. A perfect spot to truly switch off from civilisation, with no internet connection.

The location, the tranquillity and the exclusivity of having a Camp all for ourselves (we were the only guests) made our stay amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the cleanliness is the cherry on the top!

We wanted to experience a night in the Omani desert, away from the crowds, and Starlight Private Camp provided exactly that. Unlike the larger camps in Wahiba Sands, this camp offers a unique and private experience—just tent in the middle of the desert, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and tranquility of the landscape. Our stay was truly unforgettable, combined with a peaceful camel safari, an excellent dinner under the stars, and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The entire experience felt intimate and authentic, making it unlike anything else. We are especially grateful to Ali for his warm hospitality and fascinating stories, as well his staff for the incredible food and outstanding service. Communication was seamless, and the assistance provided for driving in the desert was incredibly helpful. We spent one night at Starlight privet camp. It was amazing! We were picked up from the city Bidiyah in a jeep and taken to the camp. On the way, we stopped and were shown a little camel. At the camp, we were welcomed with hot karak, coffee, dates, and fruits. The camp itself was very comfortable and convenient: a spacious tent for sleeping, a separate bathroom with a toilet and shower, and a separate gazebo where we could have dinner or just relax. Special thanks to the camp staff. They were extremely polite and friendly. On the day of our stay, it was my wife's birthday. Ali helped to buy a cake with candles in advance and surprised her. I would also like to mention dinner and breakfast — incredibly delicious national dishes. In one day at the camp, we managed to catch the sunset and sunrise in the desert, warm up by the fire, and admire the stars.

All the people are friendly and so kindly. I want to say thanks to them. What l like special are the views at night, it was a wonderful day. The dinner was so delicious.
