のんびりできた。

The staff is incredibly friendly. The meals were really done well. Rooms are comfortable. Nice having so many private onsen facilities (indoor hot, outdoor hot, outdoor cold, and barrel sauna). They think of all the details, i.e. give you a flashlight and seat cushions in case you want to walk into town to see the dance performance in the shrine.

I wish there were more common areas / places to roam and hang out. It's pretty much just your room and then meals in dining room.

食事も趣向凝らした提供で歴史を学べたし、もちろん美味しかった！ 備え付けのサウナ、露天ともに最高! 部屋の広さなども2人で泊まったがちょうど良い!

夕飯、朝食共満足しました。

スタッフが丁寧。神話をテーマに、食事をはじめいろいろと組み立てられている。ステーキは絶品。

若い人男性には食事の量は足りないかも。

お部屋も広く清潔感があり心地よく過ごせました。

お出掛け予定だった為、食事の時間の配慮が欲しかったかなぁ。。。

Lovely ryokan with charming, welcoming and helpful staff. Good English spoken with lots of additional written explanations ( menu and room features). Fabulous spacious room ( accomodation was a self contained unit) with excellent indoor and outdoor ofuro. Fantastic food with first day themed to local history and traditions. Support given for attendance at Kagura performance at Takachiho shrine. It was truly an exceptional stay in all respects!!

お部屋も露天風呂、サウナ付きで素晴らしい。 食事も高千穂らしく、工夫されていて美味しい。 何よりスタッフの皆さんが、フレンドリーで楽しく働いていらっしゃるのが心地よかったです。 おもてなしに感動しました。
