GBThe property was described as an apartment, but it’s actually a cottage spread over three floors, which was a pleasant surprise! It’s in a great location right next to the waterfalls, but only a 10 minute stroll from Ambleside town centre. The outside space is a real bonus too, with both a balcony on the kitchen and a large courtyard area. You enter the property from the courtyard into the middle floor, where there's a large double bedroom and a bathroom. Stairs lead down to the kitchen, which is well-equipped, and doors open to a small balcony with the waterfalls running below. Another staircase leads up to the large lounge, where there's a tv, blue tooth sound system, wifi, and two large windows looking out across the stream towards the woods opposite.
Our only minor complaint is that a little more attention to detail is required by the cleaners. The floors had been mopped, as they were still wet when we arrived at 4pm, but possibly not swept or vacuumed as there was quite a lot of hair on the floor, especially in the bathroom.
