La Limonaia Country House

The apartment is close to Siena, clean, orderly and decently equipped. The kitchen is decently sized and reasonably equipped.

This is NOT a country house - its on the outskirts of Siena. The bedroom is next to a road, the windows offer ZERO sound isolation. Impossible to sleep if a truck or a vespa wakes you every 15min. You can hear every single sound, like the window is open. No blinds on the windows either, so no privacy, and there are 4 or 5 other apartments in the building. Never saw the owner, had to fill a check-in form (annoying but ok). Had to pay tourist tax separately and then got messages to leave the tax on the table..when questioned they said its an automatic message, so ok. Asked to take out the trash, which is unusual (but ok) and found the containers are card-locked. The wifi is terribly slow. All the sockets are italian - fair, but a notice or a shucko adapter would be nice. Everything could be overlooked, but cheaping out on decent windows when your apartmant is next to a road, making it impossible to sleep is defeating the whole purpose of "a place to sleep"

Tomasso was a great host, communication and check-in were very smoothly, he was very responsive at all time. The location is very nice and clean, it is a flat in an old country house, with an inner courtyard where we could safely park our car. The flat is nicely decorated, with a kitchen/living area, nice bathroom and a good size bedroom. The mattress was very comfortable, and Tomasso provided a cot for our 3 years old son. The house is not far from Siena's main attractions, less than 2 km by foot.

The location. It’s lovely: very close to a few shops so one can grab a cup of espresso or a meal without stepping into Siena . Tomasso was very helpful: get his recommendations on where to eat. They were excellent

The Country House is thoughtfully designed and well equipped. Staying there is indeed a proper escape and very relaxing. The Host was very friendly and was happy to help with any requests and problems. He regularly asked if everything was all right and was very considerate. We really enjoyed our stay. The city of Siena is a 20-30 minute walk away which we thought was fine. There is a bus available too.
