Moon & Shama - Vegan Homestay

We had such a memorable stay. The hosts — they are incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Their kindness and genuine care created such a relaxing and personal atmosphere that we won’t forget. And the food… simply outstanding. Everything is local, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. It was honestly some of the best food we had in Cambodia — every meal was a discovery, with so many unique tastes and dishes to try. If you enjoy authentic cuisine, this alone is worth the stay. The location is also a big advantage. It’s ideally situated if you want to visit Banteay Srey and Kbal Spean — two of the most unique and beautiful temples of Angkor in our opinion (even though all temples are amazing, these two really stand out). The homestay is a bit far from the city, but that’s actually a plus: it gives you a peaceful break in the countryside and lets you fully focus on exploring these incredible sites. We highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for authenticity, amazing food, and truly kind hosts.

Le lieu est très calme, très joliment aménagé. Très proche de Banteay srei et de la montagne sacrée de Phnom Kulen, il permet de visiter ces lieux tout en découvrant la campagne. Les hôtes sont très accueillants, les repas sont cuisinés maison et savoureux. La chambre est très confortable. Des circuits sont proposés et permettent une découverte des sites et de la vie locale. Je recommande vivement the little vegan homestay.

The property was beautiful and the accommodations were spacious. We had lots of space to walk around and sit outside in the garden, and the fruit trees and plants made the property feel very relaxed and natural. The owners were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. we really enjoyed chatting with them and they helped us have 2 really full, adventurous days in the countryside. The food was absolutely incredible, and felt fresh and authentic. Peter and Shreytoch are very kind people and we enjoyed getting to know them.

2階が寝室で1階にトイレと洗面所があって少し不便だった事くらいかな。

A very homey stay in a fantastic setting all made possible with the sincere, friendly but professional approach and welcome of the hosts. A beautiful blend. Very delicious and creative choices of food. A must try. Incredibly colorful and all natural breakfast. Bicycles at your reach and located in a very charming location in the countryside

Nothing not to like.

The hosts were extremely attentive checking us in, ordering tuk tuks to get us to and from the homestay and providing food and drink. They were very accommodating about my nut and shellfish allergy too, which allowed me to have my first proper meal since arriving in Cambodia (surviving off super noodles and crisps...). Every meal brought to us was just astounding with my partner, who had been able to the local food, saying this was some of the best food he's had all trip! I would also agree with him, the flavours were carefully balanced and refreshing! The homestay was wonderfully quiet too being in more rural Cambodia. Peter and Sreytoch recommended some really wonderful day trips in the area and had a great time with the floating pontoons out on a nearby lake to watch sunset! The beds were very comfy, outdoor shower and toilet were to a really high standard and the grounds of the homestay were really beautiful.

We decided to rent a motorbike to get out of Siam Reap to explore and see the countryside a little, and we couldn't be happier with our short stay here. The bungalow is so lovely, the outdoor shower is beautiful and the hosts made this really special with everything they did to take care of us. Their home cooked meals were amazingly delicious, our top culinary experience in Asia so far! They gave us wonderful suggestions for things to do in the area. Just next time we will come for longer!
