HOME INN KUJO KAWARAMACHI

Location is positive, close to kyoto station. The neighborhood is a domestic one, with no restaurants nearby at all. There's a vending machine outside, and a family mart by the end of the block, to keep you alive. The venue itself is EXTREMELY safe, if you were ever worried about break-ins for some reason.

There is nothing to do in the immediate area without transportation. The hotel is staff-less, there's no one to talk to if something is wrong. The rooms are very small, the beds are too small for couples, making sleep uncomfortable. The worst part is- you have a balcony you are prohibited from using, the room has no air, and you are left with an air conditioner unit that is full of BLACK MOLD, the room fills up with your breath vapor covering up the entire balcony glass with humidity. You have to keep the AC on defogging to stay there. But you are not allowed to open the windows under any circumstances, why? I assume this is because visitors have been smoking in the balcony in the past, so a global punishment had been set by the owner for all visitors. There's an abnormal sized smoking fine of about 30k yen. This is unfair towards non-smokers who want to use the balcony for AIR! the room is choked and smells bad. It seems the owner has a small coin business going inside the hotel, including the vending machine and the laundry situation. There's no coin dispenser, so if you need coins for anything like laundry- you go to the vending machine and break a bill there! And the laundry machine are triple the price! Plus you'd need two rounds of dryer to get it done. Since the only thing available for you to eat is some family mart precooked meals- the microwave and toaster oven are your best friends. But they are located in the hall and will stink up the entire floor- so balconies in the hall ARE AVAILABLE TO OPEN. What kind of monster does this? I hated my stay here, I hope you learn from my mistake and choose somewhere else. Not a good experience.
