Patio Elba Boutique Hotel

Booked from 8/28-8/30 based on the listing photos & reviews. Unfortunately I didn’t check the negative reviews as they would have saved me from having to deal with this place. Let’s start off with parking. It is advertised that parking is local off site - I believe when I complained they claimed 600 ft away, yeah that’s not true at all. Over two blocks up & one down in an unlit lot that looks abandoned. To make that matter worse, pin provided to enter the lot didn’t even work. The “hotel” itself, and I use that word lightly, is NOT a hotel at all. It is a renovated house/building sitting next to a rundown property with people roaming freely. Yes! People under the influence roaming freely. I took videos of two who were walking straight into the street and near my car while I sat outside this property arguing for a refund. They continued to say the area was safe which I explained what one person is comfortable with does not mean that’s the actuality of the situation. The listing is a huge misrepresentation. They ultimately refused to refund me & it took my legal threats to get one night back from them while they kept the rest of my reservation & parking fee. I ended up having to handle it with Expedia for over 24hrs & book another hotel as we had no where to stay. Cherry on top, they charged me for my stay again after I asked for a refund and when I reported that to Expedia lied about it being accidental when I paid for parking. Stay away from here!!!

I really enjoyed staying here. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. There’s a great restaurant right at the corner. I would definitely stay here again.

Roomy apartment satisfying our needs for three separate rooms and beds. Not an easy find in PR. Clean bathroom with two sinks and multiple towels, hotel quality white and fluffy. Comfortable beds, air cons in every room, blackout curtains.

The neighborhood looked a little sketchy. The communication with the property wasn’t very easy. It was only possible through booking messenger , sometimes we waited long for an answer. The phone was disconnected. The soundproofing wasn’t the greatest. I woke up at 2 am to the sounds of neighbors turning the tv. The floors looked a little worn down, I initially thought it was an old linoleum with patched holes. In the day light I realized it was old ceramic tiles , which is much better and more hygienic than the linoleum. Just not the best esthetic look, making the apartment look faded and heavily used. It didn’t make our stay any different, obviously. All in all it was a good experience

I had a wonderful stay at Patio Elba. The hotel has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with beautiful details that make it feel both stylish and comfortable. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and well-equipped, and I especially appreciated the attention to small touches that made the stay feel special. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, charm, and genuine hospitality.

I was only in Puerto Rico for a night, but SO GLAD I booked my stay at Patio Elba. The hotel is very close to Coliseo de Puerto Rico which is why I was in town. As soon as I booked with them, they were always very communicative over text and emails. I arrived at the hotel around 12:30PM and they were able to accommodate early check-in. The lady I spoke with at the front desk was very kind and gave me some travel tips about the surrounding area. I got a heads up to not wander too much outside of the hotel late at night just because we were in the city area, but I never felt unsafe during my stay here. The room itself was squeaky clean. I had a little kitchen to myself, the bathroom was great, and the bed was very comfortable. The overall space is spacious for 1 person. If you're here for a quick getaway I would definitely recommend!!

I loved how quaint and clean this property is. I stayed here with multiple family members and we all were comfortable, felt safe and had no issues at all. The staff is very friendly and were attentive to our needs. I also love how this property is a small business.

Patio Elba Boutique Hotel is truly a hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome — their warmth and attentiveness made the stay extra special. The accommodations were both cute and comfortable, striking that perfect balance between style and coziness. The location couldn’t have been better: close enough to explore everything easily, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxed. I would happily recommend Patio Elba to anyone visiting Puerto Rico and will definitely stay again on my next trip.
