Uros Titicaca coila lodge

We spent one night on the Uros Islands and had a truly special experience. Although our bus arrived late in Puno, Miguel, the host, came to pick us up at the small port by boat and took us to the island. We were welcomed with a delicious and plentiful dinner, which was much appreciated after the long journey. Despite the chilly August nights, the room had a gas heater, a hot shower, and even a hot water bottle, which made the bed very cozy. In the morning, we woke up to the most amazing view, with a beautiful lake visible from the bed. Since our bus left in the early afternoon, we couldn’t join the organized boat tour, but the host kindly offered to take us around the islands in his boat, which was a very pleasant experience. We had to negotiate the price a bit, but in the end, we feel the experience was well worth it.

La ubicación del alojamiento es inmejorable. Es un sitio privilegiado

La atención las personas encargadas fueron muy atentos, la comodidades de la habitación todo estaba muy limpio y ordenado, un muy buen lugar para escapar de la rutina diaria lo recomendaría siempre.

El personal , Sabina y Miguel nos trataron como si fuéramos sus hijas, en todo momento se preocuparon por nuestro bienestar.

El agua caliente de la ducha era casi inexistente, aunque hacía frío nos dieron bolsitas de agua caliente y una estufa.

- Stars during the evening were beautiful while sailing the boat to the accommodation - Breakfast was great - Owner was friendly

- The apartment was really really cold during the night. It was literally 0 degrees (same temperature as outside) due to which we got sick. There is no heating at all, despite what the advertisement says. - Dinner that he offered when we arrived was nice, but it was not transparent if this would ve charged later and if so, how much. - The owner kept coming into our room, for example we were already laying in bed trying to sleep and he insisted come in and collect the plates from the dinner (couldn't this wait until next morning?) - Entrance ladder to the apartment felt very unstable/unsafe - No door to the bathroom so if you're staying with someone in the apartment, you will hear everything - The beddings were not clean at all - Shower is outside the apartment, so better take shower during the day otherwise you'll freeze to death - To get warm water you have to tell the owner to turn it on beforehand - We suspect that some of the tea bags that were offered were moldy - The bathing soap that he gave us were already used / opened...

Gorgeous setting, good food

No heat, no en suite shower. Miguel was a great host but he offered a 1 1/2 hour boat ride that was extremely overpriced (usd 75, which was more than the entire stay, including food) when we got the bill.

beautiful location with great views and so nice for watching sunset and the stars at night, and great breakfast.

Was not told about extra costs, including pickup by boat and entrance fee. Offered extras but were all at a steep price which we could not justify. We were looking forward to kayaking around however they tried to charge us 150 sol per person which is ridiculous
