Prestige Stays Cardiff Spacious 3-Bedroom Apartment with Private Garden near Cardiff University & Heath Hospital

The property was spacious and fairly new however not well maintained which is such a shame.

The place is in the high street and next to the barber which is noisy and people smoke around the house. The lounge kitchen area was dirty and bins not emptied and floors dirty not mopped. The sofas in the lounge are dirty and have bad odour. Besides all this I asked for cleaning (not refund)the day after and this was done. The shower doesn’t drain properly and the beds mad us all itchy which might have bed bugs. The microwave handle was broken and the toilets stained.

Information from owner regarding location was not very clear. Despite having physical address, entrance was a small door between some shops. Took 15 mins in the rain to find door. When in the property, the code given for the lockbox through the booking.com comms was incorrect and then found the correct code on a WhatsApp. The area the property is located in was really down-market, and full of litter. Shops and amenities in area not great at all. To get to the internal door to the flat, you had to step over refuse bags and building materials. The accommodation was extremely disappointing for GBP250+ per night, not worth 1/2 that, based on previous experience of using booking.com. All furniture was extremely basic and low quality. While reasonably clean inside, was sparse and not very comfortable for a GBP250 per night unit. The description of amenities is deceptive. I understood the unit to have 2 bathrooms, but there was one, and a toilet off the kitchen (maybe my mistake). The description clearly says 2 bathrooms. The description says "free toiletries", which i suppose was the bottle of shower gel. The description said, "coffee maker" which I now understand to mean "kettle", and not coffee machine. The Wi-Fi access details given on the booking.com messages and in the apartment were incorrect. Did receive the correct access in the evening via WhatsApp. Heater in second bedroom wasn't working. Apartment has an outside area (described as "garden views", which was filthy, and had no furniture. Old paint tins in the corner with a pile of cigarette butts on top. Only while I was there did I check other reviews, and 100% agree with Mike's "1/10" review. All in all a really poor experience, overpriced, and my most unpleasant stay ever on booking.com. Spent as little time in the apartment as possible.

The property was not suitable to stay in As it was stinking dirty, I have many pictures to show this... currently seeking a full refund with the help of booking.com or I will be going to my solicitor to deal with it...

Disgustingly dirty... not fit for purpose.. Photos to prove... seeking a refund... Will not settle till refund is made...

Property was very spacious and clean and very good value for the money

The electricity kept tripping so the heaters in the bedroom would not work at all leaving the apartment to be freezing.
