The hotel is clean and well air-conditioned, the views are perfect and the food and service were first class.

We are bad sleepers and jet lag was still weighing on us, so we were a bit bothered by the creaky bed and the lack of proper blankets and blackout curtains. The sounds of the jungle can also be disturbing. If you are a good sleeper, these should not be a problem. Also, the toilet was a bit incompletely cleaned, but this did not bother us.

The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet natural setting just outside Sigiriya, only about a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride from the village. The surroundings are green and peaceful. The pool area is nice and appears to be cleaned and maintained daily. The room was spacious and the staff were friendly and willing to help when asked.

The biggest issue was the humidity in the room and bathroom. The building seems to have poor ventilation, which makes the room very damp. There was visible mold on the curtains and in the bathroom. The bathroom windows are permanently open and cannot be closed, which seems to be their way of dealing with the humidity but it does not really solve the problem. Cleanliness could also be improved — the floors were dirty and the bed linen had stains, although the staff changed the sheets immediately when we mentioned it. The room also had limited space for storing clothes and belongings.

Great view of the Lion Rock, nice garden and pool (cleaned everyday), friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms were large enough, especially since we were traveling with a big luggage. Suitable for a short stay. Not a problem for us, but for the nearest restaurants we recommend traveling with a tuk-tuk, not on foot. They also have a restaurant on site, but the food is average. Otherwise, having a drink on their terrace is very pleasant. Overall, good value for money given the area.

Especially the bathrooms need a makeover. There was mold, unpleasant smell and no mosquito net so you can open the window. Also, there were no shelves in the bathroom. Cleanliness needs to be improved overall.

Only issue might be the bathroom as it was very humid, but it is a common problem in the country

Spotkaliśmy w pod prysznicem karalucha, ale zdajemy sobie sprawę, że to są uroki klimatu tropikalnego oraz mieliśmy brudną pościel w jednym miejscu

Das Personal ist überragend vor allem Dino ist ein super Typ. Auch nachdem wir nicht mehr in Sigiriya waren hat er uns bei der weiteren Reise unterstützt. Das Hotel ist etwa 20-30min zu Fuß und 5 min mit dem Tuk Tuk von dem "Zentrum" entfernt.Tagsüber machbar und bei Dunkelheit ist man auf ein Tuk Tuk angewiesen. Dino holt einen für 500 LKR ab, die anderen nehmen abends mindestens 700 LKR. Das Hotel ist zwar etwas abgelegen aber dafür liegt es schön in der Natur. Die Aussicht beim Frühstück ist schön. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Das Zimmer ausreichend.
