Helja Stay Glamping Domes

Everything about our stay at the glamping domes was great, the host was very friendly, the dog was adorable, the shower room was great there was fresh towels available in the toilets there was flannels available, cotton ear buds, cotton pads and sanitary products which I thought was all a lovely touch and all clean. There was a kitchen which had a microwave, fridge and kettle with some bits to make a coffee or tea which also came in handy. In the domes I was dreading being cold as I'm quite a cold person however when we got in there there was a heater that had been on and I sat on the bed and there was heated blankets on the bed! I was over the moon it was so cosy and the best part was there was 2 individual ones so my husband could turn his off. The view was great I was so cosy, there's wifi available in the dome however I didnt even connect to it after a long day walking i was more than happy to relax watching the view all clean and cosy in my pj's. The owner is building new domes which are going to be en suite rooms which Is a great idea ...not that it made a difference to us anyway we still absolutely loved our stay! Thank you so much!

There was nothing I didn’t like, I was a little wary of having to share a bathroom but it honestly didn’t phase me once we was there.

En arrivant, le restaurant marquait fermé. On cherche où faire le check-in. Finalement on voit 2 personnes à l'intérieur. On rentre. Les tables étaient dressées. Le Monsieur nous annonce que le restaurant est fermé. On était pas au courant et il n'y a absolument rien aux alentours. On arrive dans la bulle. Il y a la vue sur une machine pour les travaux et sur une autre bulle. Pas du tout comme sur les photos. Même si la déco à l'intérieur de la bulle est jolie. On a en plus la porte qui ne se ferme pas, elle est est abîmée. On a décidé de partir et de prendre une nouvelle chambre d'hôtel. Le Monsieur a semblé surpris et n'a pas essayé de s'excuser. Un manque de professionnalisme. On doit avertir les clients avant de venir. Très déçue. Les photos sont trompeuses et nous ne sommes pas remboursés.

A very cosy, attractive and well-maintained establishment

Vorgewärmte Betten, die Lage und das Vogelgezwitscher!!! Zudem hatten wir einen tollen Blick in die Berge und der Besitzer war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Die Sanitäranlagen waren sehr sauber und schön, jedoch etwas zu weit weg von den Domes. Zudem gab es nicht wirklich eine Küche für die Glamper.

There is a lot of love in the decoration of the dome, the heated beds are lovely, and the shower and toilet are also very lovingly equipped, clean and nice. It's not so remote as you would think, you actually look on a construction site, but we still liked it quite a lot, listening to the birds. Since we came in spring, you have to close the blinds to sleep, but it was still lovely to look out into the distance before bedtime.

While I understand that we came in between seasons, it was a bit weird to meet several people working there who were not talking to us or even greeting us. The toilet is quite far away, which is okay, but the restaurant was closed (which is fine between seasons!), however, the kitchenette offered next to the restrooms doesn't have any place to sit. So we had to carry our (by then cold) food back to the dome (which also doesn't have any little table) through the wind. Given that people were sitting on a table, enjoying their evening and watching us doing this, we felt a bit like we were unwelcome strangers who came to the house uninvited. I am sure this was not the intention, but it lessened our happiness about the place quite a bit. I suppose they still need to work out the concept after Aurora season, so I am sure this will be improved on.

Miejsce cudowne- idealne to oglądania zorzy. Czystość na najwyższym poziomie. Bardzo miły gospodarz.

Bardzo zimno w środku było (mały grzejnik nie dawał rady grzać). W sezonie zimowym odradzam. Mała część wspólna do gotowania.

One has to carry luggage over 50-100m from car parking as path is not properly paved. Washrooms and shower are 200-250m from domes across open ground - impossible in rain at 0 Celsius (with wind chill -10 C). Would never have booked it if it had been made clear on the website. I could not subject my family to such conditions so did not stay at all. Owner refused refund. Booking.com must remove this place from their site and give me a full refund. Paid over 500 Euros for 3 domes where one has to endure Arctic weather over 250m to access the washroom and shower!!

Abbiamo alloggiato all’interno di questa cupola in mezzo al nulla, l’unica dotata di bagno in camera, è stata un’esperienza molto immersiva che ci ha accompagnato nella nostra prima notte in Islanda. La stanza era calda nonostante il gelo dell’esterno, la cupola è al buio, quindi perfetta per vedere l’aurora boreale e i sevizi come il ristorante adiacente sono comodi e accessibili.

Non abbiamo trovato gli asciugamani, ma quando li abbiamo chiesti ci sono stati consegnati subito.
