"terrible had to book into a hotel"

We weren't given the house number beforehand or the key code so I had to ask for them on the evening of our arrival. The area was shady . The house very scruffy and depressing inside. No lock on bathroom door, curtain pole wasn't attached to the brackets and fell down straight away. no lightbulbs in the bedside lamps. Someone else's food in the fridge. we work away a lot and we have never had to make a complaint . spent one night here and had to check into a hotel so we really lost out.
