Palazzo Papa Gregorio XVI

This is probably the best hotel I have stayed in whilst in Italy! It’s much more beautiful than the pictures. From excellent customer service, friendliest staff ever who gave me clear directions on how to reach the place, size of the room, spa bath and interior of the place, this stay has made my trip to Tivoli magical. If you are looking for a place to stay in Tivoli, look no further, you will love every second of it.

Everything was exceptional!

The lovely style and huge size. Fabulous air conditioning and it had a mini bar.

Nothing!

Stunning building inside, room fabulous with a lovely comfy bed. Spotlessly clean and there were free refrigerated soft drinks and milk for the tea and coffee facilities. We were upgraded and had a dressing room too. Air con pretty quiet and fast. The building is right near the centre of town near a main square and really near the main supermarket( well hidden) . The road was really scenic and very quiet.

Phenomenal interior, very clean.

As the other reviews stated, this was an exceptional place - an old building steeped in history (Pope Gregory himself used to stay in our room some 1.5 centuries or so ago), but also very clean and modern. The bed was by far the most comfortable on our trip, and the location was extremely convenient, with parking down the street (we could pull up to the venue to drop our bags right in front, then park in the lot 150 meters away), the town center with great restaurants just right down the street, plus very convenient to Pope Gregory's Villa and an easy walk to the Villa D'Estes too. The staff were wonderful. What's not to like? We didn't make coffee in our room, but erred to have a proper cappuccino and pastry in a restaurant some meters away. A great stay in a lively town with lots of history and things to see.

Nothing really, Be aware that there is a flight of stairs you need to haul luggage up, but it's not bad.

Exceptional property, one of The nicest places we have stayed. Easy check in. Fabulous facilities. Vila d este 10 mins walk and good restaurants nearby. Do not hesitate to book if staying in Tivoli !

Nothing to dislike

Beautiful property, lots of help from Sara the owner with suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing. Superb quality linens and towels and ole ti of refreshments in the room. Excellent aircon.

Would have loved some outside space - a balcony or terrace, as didn’t realise that Tivoli is a little lacking in pretty public areas to relax. This was my mistake though - it was obvious from the property details.
