New Apartment Nea Kalikratia Chalkidiki near beach

It was a very nice apartment, with comfortable beds and a wonderful view of the sea. The rooms were very clean and there is also parking for the car. The distance from the beach is only 100 meters and we went walking.. The center with the shops is also very close. We had a very nice vacation

I liked that the host came out to meet us for check-in.

In the (fast) time we spent on check-in (approx. 15 minutes) I discovered 3 things that were not in order. The host shrugged off 2 of them and claimed he will fix the third on the spot (which also turned out to be very temporary and back to the same condition in a few hours - bathroom sink not draining properly). The property has issues that are not at all apparent on the online listing: - a LOT of dirtiness all around the appartment (but hidden from direct view and the pictures put on the listing) - other issues (the mosquito nets are not functional and are mounted on the walls with adhesive tape!; the bathroom sink isn't draining properly; the TV in one of the bedrooms is not secure, the mount is starting to come out of the wall) - MOST IMPORTANT and the MAJOR ISSUE: there is MOULD in the air conditioners and the bathroom ventilator (a serious hazard, especially for small children, but for adults as well!) We didn't find out about the mould issue until the first night we spent there (checkin was at 15,00). And had to change acommodation the next day so as to not imperil our baby. When we told our host about the issue and that we want a refund for the nights not spent there, he reacted very poorly and refused. We had to lodge a formal complaint with Booking.com. Avoid this accommodation at all costs.

Good location - 10 min walk to the beach and downtown. Free parking on the street in front of the building. Clean apartment. The host Mihail was kind.
