DEIt’s a little outside of town so it’s nice and quiet
My opinion is you always put your experience in relation to how much something costs, and here it is just crazy out of balance. The manager has changed this year and the new manager is just not fit for the job. He’s not friendly, welcoming or generally approachable, but very transactional and cold. He treats you like his personal ATM. He asked for 150USD for only lunch+dinner for 3 days (costs literally 1$ each down the street). When he took me somewhere he always took a commission, asked for 15USD for 3h bike rental (5$ in town for whole day) and to top it off he said the price I paid for 3 nights was actually only for 1 night, despite me having booked everything normally through booking.com. I am genuinely unsure if he wanted to scam me or if he’s just really bad at his job. The rooms are dark, towels stained, and there’s not at all any of the luxuries you would get at nearby “nicer” hotels which are barely more expensive.
ILI stayed 2 nights at Jangwani River View Suites and had an amazing experience! Oscar, the manager, gave me excellent service and made me feel right at home. He also operates wonderful daily tours around Lake Manyara, which were a highlight of my trip. Comfortable stay, beautiful views, and outstanding hospitality — highly recommended!
DESehr schöne Anlage, super Service Oscar ist ein toller Guide - Fahrrad- und Wandertouren sind absolut empfehlenswert
ITIt Is a pity because the Place could be nice but the manager did not allow tò us tò enjoy it. The room Is nice and clean but few hot water. The manager Is a scammer and profit of guests in every way to have his own bargain! It was not so pleasant and relaxing, we felt used like walking Money tò collect. we reserved here because in the price was included a free safari walking tour which included the market and the Village, (we came from Serengeti and ngorongoro and we wanted tò experience real Life in Villages) but before we arrived he wrote tò US It was Better tò rent bikes for 2 hours tò make tour at a price We could rent a car for 1full day. We insisted tò go by walking safari tour (we had been sitten in a car for 3 days during Animals safari) and we wanted tò see the Village and the real Life in the market, instead he took US tò a very expensive tourist shop, where anything was original and no real Life, they even accepted payment by credit card, while jangwani river suits does not accept payment by credit card. Anything more touristic!!!! We also reserved dinner in his restaurant, chef Is very good and the dinner was nice, but we payed like we were in the most Luxury resort in Serengeti!!!! There were no menù and no prices shown, we expected the normal price We had been paying in beautiful restaurants where we had been in the days before, we did not expect that price!!! It Is a pity for the chef Who Is nice person but It Is the manager Who makes price tò his own decision. I think It Is Better tò eat in the Village, at 5 minutes walking there Is a very nice restaurant with music and entertainment with big choose of food and for a price 4 times lower.
TZThe hosts were very thoughtful of details and took good care of us. The breakfast was amazing! Lovely location.

DEWe had a wonderful stay in this peaceful and unique place, located right in the middle of a large banana plantation. The houses are new, very clean, and well maintained, with lovely bedrooms and simple but spotless bathrooms. It’s about 300 meters off the main road, surrounded by greenery and absolutely quiet – a true escape into nature. The plantation is right next to the Lake Manyara NP so monkeys regularly pay a visit to enjoy some bananas. The beds were excellent, with good-quality mattresses and mosquito nets not only around the beds but also on the windows, which meant we could sleep with the windows open and enjoy the fresh air without any worries. We were warmly welcomed and given a tour of the plantation, where we learned about the different crops grown here – not just bananas but also a variety of vegetables. It was a really nice way to get a glimpse into rural life in Tanzania. The friendly host also recommended a local restaurant and even accompanied us there and back, which made us feel very well looked after. If you’re looking for a stay with a personal touch, far from the impersonality of typical hotels, this is a place you’ll truly enjoy.
Unfortunately the hot pot was not working but we got a discount to compensate, which felt fair. If the hotpot is what attracts you, I recommend you check in advance if it’s working again. I haven’t seen it but it seems shared, not on your private terrace.
GBWhat an amazing place. Set in a Banana plantation, it's set back off the road. It's quiet and peaceful, a great place to relax and unwind. Sabrina and Grandad are the most amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The car got cleaned both days we were there , we got taken for a walk through the plantation. Definitely recommend ❤️
