Bonita Oasis Beach Resort

Location was perfect, by the beach, close to the town, quiet and peaceful at night.

No power generator when there’s a black out. There was no electricity for almost 8 hours during our second night of stay. No light alternatives provided. We’ve stayed 4 nights in the property but our beddings and towels weren’t changed, rooms weren’t checked to be cleaned daily. The shower room smelled of sewage so we had to keep the door closed the whole time. Electrical sockets were quite dodgy in two of the rooms.

The staff is amazing, they go above and beyond to support you in anything you need. The food they cook is super delicios! What we ate and drank, we told them to book on our room number and payed at checkout. Card payment is accepted with 2-3% commission. We thought of just asking at the reception about some trips to book, but Josephine spoke with some turist guides and she provided the best options to organize the activities + prices. We ended up booking what she suggested and it was the best decision. The guides we had for our trips were great! They do not offer laundry services at the hotel, but they took your clothes to another place and the price was super cheap, we got the clothes back the next day. Their ‘back yard’ offers the best sundown views on the island. The hotel is cozy, quiet, one can definitely relax here.

The location of the resort is nice as it's in the quiet area of Moalboal but not far from the hustle and bustle of the local restaurants, bars and sardine run. The room we had is quite spacious and breakfast is good. Although it is beachfront, we didn't get to swim as it's best to go in during high tide. I recommend wearing swim shoes if you want to swim in the sea.

Shortstaffed.

Lovely hotel, the reception staff were extremely helpful with any of our requests and organising activities! Right on the beach front near the beautiful sunset :)
