Everything was top-notch – the location, cleanliness, and the service from the owners.

It’s not that we didn’t like it, but the breakfast had very limited options and the service was quite slow.

Location was good.

Advertised as a hotel. Is not a hotel. Although remarked on a number of occasions about the cleaning of the room, were told we were ‘making it up’ and the owner personally checked the cleaning and it was good … which was strange given old wrappers from other guest found in nooks, under the bed, bathroom … toilet not cleaned … floor not mopped or completely swept … the list goes on. Asked them to actually provide cups for coffee .. claimed they had done … they 100% did not a number of times … even the ‘snacks’ were not left and a couple of days pods for coffee not left … again, owner said he personally checked and they were left … they were not. It was all very frustrating and we were made to feel like we were lying !! Not what you need on holiday … The sockets were unable to accommodate most of their appliances apart from 1 area of the room … so we had to rearrange the room to actually get stuff done … Owner remarked about moving the room around … really odd !!! Again super uncomfortable !! One night They took the mirror out of our room for 2 days and claimed it was due to health and safety … it was a standing mirror and not a health and safety issue at all … uncomfortable to be accused of that! I’m confident they simply gave it to another guest who requests a mirror … After booking for 2 adults and 1 child for 10 nights, were told after booking we needed to pay 25 euro a night for a cot!!!! It’s not the money but the principle … what kind of guest house, bed and breakfast or whatever they claim to be charges at all for a cot … laughable … We took the cot for a couple of nights in the end and agreed a rate … they chased and chased and chased for payment … which was not an issue until just as we were getting ready to check out … they threatened legal action!!! The harassment was insane!!! This was before check out time … 10am … so legal action before we even checked out … insane! Given the blatant lying and accusations we were considering claiming against the host.

Fijne kamer vanwaaruit je meteen de oude stad in loopt. Leuk behang in de badkamer, vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt is bij een cafeetje vlakbij. Ook handig: het autoverhuurkantoor in de haven zit op loopafstand. Daarmee vermeden we de wachtrijen op het vliegveld, in Bari zelf hadden we toch geen auto nodig.
