Character on Queen Street

The location was perfect for walking to many of Auckland's attractions, the ferry wharves, restaurants and shops. The apartment was in a lovely old building with high ceilings. The lifts worked well.

We had difficulty accessing the building when we arrived as we hadn't received any instructions by email or through booking.com. We were helped by someone with a local phone who called the owner on our behalf. The windows face Queen St. It was very noisy day & night, especially the Friday & Sat nights of our 3 night stay. It was also hot, with no fans or air-conditioning. There wasn't much storage space as the owner's possessions were occupying most of the cupboard.
