After returning from our Himalayan trek, we decided at the last minute to book a stay at Mohan Ganga View Homestay, and we were warmly welcomed despite the short notice. We were traveling down from Gangotri towards Rishikesh, and this turned out to be the perfect place to rest and recover. After two demanding days of trekking in the Himalayas, the peaceful atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and genuine hospitality were exactly what we needed. The host family made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was starting the morning with yoga on the rooftop under a beautiful sunny sky, surrounded by nature and the sound of the Ganga flowing nearby. It was a truly refreshing and memorable experience. This place offers much more than accommodation—it provides a sense of peace, care, and connection. I will definitely return again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in this beautiful area.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at this property. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and hygiene standards were maintained throughout our stay. The location can be a little tricky to find, as it is slightly away from the main market area. However, it is beautifully situated near the Bhagirathi River, just a 5-minute walk away. The terrace offers a lovely view of the river, adding to the overall charm of the place. The owner, Ram Mohan Ji, was warm, cordial, and highly welcoming. His wife prepared delicious homemade vegetarian meals, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The property follows a strict no-smoking, no-drinking, and no non-vegetarian food policy, making it ideal for guests seeking a calm and family friendly environment. What stood out most was the peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and attention to hygiene. Both the owner and caretaker were extremely responsive to our requests and queries, ensuring a comfortable and hassle free experience.

An excellent location nestled in the mountains, surrounded by pristine nature . It’s peacefully tucked away from Uttarkashi—far enough to escape the crowds, yet close enough for convenience. The setting is truly perfect, with breathtaking views of mountains, a flowing river, lush meadows, and a nearby temple, all complemented by crisp, clean air and complete tranquility in rustic rural settings. Mr. Rawat and his family are incredibly gracious hosts—warm, simple, and genuinely caring. They serve delicious homemade meals that make your stay feel even more comforting and personal. The homestay offers basic amenities, with rooms and bathrooms that are spotless and well-maintained. If you’re lucky, you might even spot wild deer grazing in the hills right from your room—a magical experience. One of the highlights is the spacious open rooftop, offering stunning 180-degree panoramic views. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy your morning tea, soak up the sun, and simply take in the beauty around you.

The bed mattress could have been a bit cushy. I found them to be quite hard.

I was trekking in the mountains before being lucky enough to find this one-of-a-kind homestay with the most wonderful family running it. It was exactly what I wanted after trekking: warm hospitality, extra tasty and nourishing food, yoga and philosophical discussions and of course the power of Ganga right in front of you. Pure healing and I can't be thankful enough. Highly recommended for trekkers on their way up or coming down the mountains. A unique option for you, all year round!
