Buckenham Cottage, Cromer

It was a lovely property to stay while visiting Cromer with our dog. Everything was well managed and clear instructions.

Very convenient for the beach and town. Left the car on the road. House comfortable and clean

Downstairs bathroom awkward but we managed OK.

Location close to town centre and pier

The stairs were very steep and short treads. Some of our group had difficulty with them

Unfortunately when we checked in the cleaners had not been in luckily we spoke to the neighbour’s who contacted Alex from Totally Norfolk who called me and explained the situation (cleaners where running late) and made sure everything was sorted

The location was excellent, opposite a supermarket and 5 minutes from the station. (This mattered as we were arriving by train.). 10 minute walk to the cliff top overlooking the beach. The house was roomy and comfortable with 3 good sized bedrooms, one had a hand basin as well.

The front had steep steps leading to the entrance and there were no handrails only a rickety wooden fence. We found them a bit tricky especially with luggage. Also the gleaming spacious bathroom would benefit from a towel rail for drying.

Great location for exploring Cromer and the beach. Good size for our family of 5. The supermarket (Morrisons) was conveniently close by.

The stairs were steep (but we knew this when booking). The towels provided were thin and didn't dry well during the day.

Soft towels and good location.

Property clearly needs some TLC. Shower coming off wall. Black mould in bathroom, partially hidden by repainting. Cobwebs blocking extractor fan and behind towel rack. Wooden floor beading all swollen and or loose. Would appreciate a good dust as Numerous cobwebs throughout. Only 1 toilet roll left. Previous occupants urine stains left on the outside of toilet bowl.

Location was great - 5 mins from sea and right next to s supermarket. Cottage was cool too in the hot weather. Beds were comfy and it was well equipped for cooking. Nice to have a bit of a garden to sit out in and deckchairs made available.

There were loads of flies in the house who came in through open windows and doors at the back. We didn't realise until we put our rubbish out at the end that the bins were full of maggots - a mixture of very hot weather and maybe bins not being emptied regularly. The plates cupboard in the kitchen had spiders living in it and webs in there.
