Palermo Inn Boutique Arte

We recently stayed at this property and unfortunately left with mixed feelings. While the room itself was clean and the location central, there were several issues that impacted our overall experience. Firstly, I forgot two pairs of sunglasses in the room. When I contacted the property, I was told that housekeeping did not report finding anything, which was disappointing and left me feeling frustrated. Be aware that the hotel is located on a very narrow street where taxis cannot access, meaning you have to walk quite a bit with your luggage to reach or leave the property. Additionally, getting to the rooms requires climbing a long staircase, which could be challenging if you have heavy bags or mobility concerns. Another downside was the constant smell of cooking in the room and on the balcony due to nearby apartments. The area is very dense, and the proximity to other residences made it feel less private and somewhat uncomfortable at times. Overall, the stay was okay, but these inconveniences made it less enjoyable than we had hoped.

This is the first time we have booked from booking.com and encountered a hotel that was far below our expectations and had nothing to do with the hotel's ratings and the price we paid. I think they are trying to attract customers with discounts by going out with high prices as a marketing strategy. We paid 351 Euros and after discussions they made a 20% discount. Our problem is not the price, we already paid that money, our problem is that we wanted to stay in a nice, quality, stylish hotel but we couldn't.

The location was beautiful and the staff was excellent. The restaurant was very good. The location was great - walking distance to everything in town.

The bed looked great but was very uncomfortable. Felt a little like sleeping on a box spring not a mattress.
