Lovely location on the river, in a lovely little village nestled in a valley, with stunning forest walks. Very clean and well equipped and lovely log burner. very comfortable beds, large bathroom with shower and bath. Nearby village pub. On flight path for the Mach Loop with military aircraft coming through on low flying exercises, not constantly and not at weekends, but great if you like jets :)

"Our stay was amazing and this cottage is an absolute gem. Ideal for those that want a relaxing break"

10.0

The location was amazing and the cottage was very cosy, ideally situated to visit some stunning beaches or go for lovely walks. The hosts were exceptional, nothing being too much trouble. The views of the river are stunning and we had our early morning coffee on the balcony area which was so peaceful. Corris is a lovely village and the local pub was fantastic, the food and beer choices are excellent. The local people are so friendly and informative. Highly recommended and cannot explain how much this cottage went beyond our expectations. we shall definitely return.

I truly cannot find anything about the cottage that we did not like, it went beyond our expectations.

"A beautiful cottage in a stunning location in Wales."

10.0

The cottage is in such a stunning location. It has a beautiful patio area over looking the water. Inside is warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean. It has everything you’ll need for a home away from home holiday. We have returned on a number of occasions and would not hesitate to rebook again. Host is so flexible and friendly nothing is too much trouble.

"Highly recommend this beautiful Welsh gem!"

9.0

It was a true gem. Absolutely loved the location. Nicely refurbished, smart yet period charm. Kitchen nicely equipped. Bathroom was clean with a powerful shower. Beds were comfy. Every need was thought of.

Had to evict a few 8 legged residents (little bleeders get everywhere!) and a little dust on a forgotten cabinet that set my son sneezing, but otherwise clean and fresh.

"Beautiful and relaxing riverside cottage."

9.0

Wonderful Welsh slate cottage, with everything we needed for a self-catering weekend away, a very comforatble stay. The location is beautiful right on the river which the terrace enables you to sit and admire. The surrounding village of Corris is beautiful. My dog loved the pebble beach next to the cottage, with the crystal clear river to paddle in. I loved the secure terrace at the back of the cottage which made sure he didn't get up to mischief. We enjoyed walking out of the door and completing the Corris Circular Walk with our dog, stopping off at Corris Craft Centre for cake and taking a short trip on Corris Steam Railway (both of which we'd highly recommend). We got out for a trip to Aberdyfi beach which is only a 30-minute scenic drive away. We didn't get to the village pub but the friendly locals we met on our walk let us know it's very wlecoming. The welcome folders left for us detailed local walks and things to do. If we'd have stayed longer this would have been a great base for walking and hiking and day trips out.

We'd recommend driving into the vilage using the bridge onto Minffordd St (driving past the caravan park) to avoid Bridge Street which is very steep and a very sharp turn off the A487 if coming down to the village (I might have missed this advice in the instrutions I recieved). Whilst advertised as 'pet friendly' at the time of booking. I recieved my confirmation after paying (in full) with the instructions 'If you are bringing your dog please keep them downstairs and off the furniture.' Something to consider if you intend to travel with your dog. Ideally this information should be detailed on the main booking page to help people make their decision whether to stay. There was a bit of a damp smell and the place needed a good airing on arrival but perhaps this was to be expected as it is next to a river and we were in a heatwave when we stayed, it was extremely humid outide at the time. The double glazing needs some attention to make the most of the views (again the humid weather didn't help with this).
