Cosy City Apartment in Manchester

I have been scammed as the host has not returned my deposit and will not respond to any communication with me or TravelNest. Getting the key to the property was left until the last minute on the day that I was travelling to Manchester. The code given for the key box was incorrect, and the key box was located in a rubbish tip with dirty nappies and rotten food. The corridor in the building smelt of rubbish bins, and there were rough sleepers in the surrounding streets. Early each morning, commercial rubbish bins were emptied, which woke us up. There were faults with the accommodation, including burns in the carpets and a shower that was not secured to the wall. A towel rail was also missing in the shower room. Generally, the furniture was cheap so I would not describe the accommodation as luxurious . The host uses a company called TravelNest, but they have been of no assistance in trying to get my refundable deposit back. As I write this review, it has been a month since the deposit should have been returned. Take my advice and avoid this accommodation.
