Meerendahl Luxury Apartments at Tyger Lake

The location

Bath plug was faulty so we couldn't use the bath Front door latch faulty upon exit which we did report to security Wi fi password easily accessible via phone but the QR code is not laptop friendly The shower doesn't drain properly so one showers whilst in a deep puddle of water

The apartment is well maintained and super clean. Kitchen is well equipped, and they even provide coffee and sugar to get you started. All hand basins and bathrooms have proper hand wash which is amazing! Bed Linen and Towels are of good quality. Enough power plugs located at all the right places throughout the apartment. The outdoor patio has a peaceful view over the lake. Location is great with easy and safe access to good restaurants.

The shower struggled to drain but this was the only issue we experienced in the entire apartment

The security guard handing me the keys was friendly. The pressure in the shower was sufficient.

The aircon is either full blast blizzard or off. You could scan a QR code for wifi on your phone, but no wifi or any other info was available anywhere so no wifi for computer, nor was is connected to the tv which had no data, thus any app like Netflix was useless. The bed and pillows were so hard I opted to sleep on a slanted uncomfortable couch where I was subjected to a noisy fridge - making this a better option. Having no decent aircon, tv or even 5 mins of sleep, we checked out at sunrise forfeiting our remaining 2 days. The waterfront like area was nothing more than a water filled quarry void of any character I can only recommend this place to the homeless

1. We were looking for an apartment called Meerendahl. Nowhere there's any signs. 2. We were not notified about a pin that we need to get in. Only found out 3 hours later it's on the booking.com app. 3. We were not notified were to pick the keys up. It was in another building. 4. I tried to contact the contact person 3 times without success. Left messages without any response. Our special day was totally ruined.

This place is absolutely immaculate, really feels like a home away from home the minute you walk in, we truly enjoyed our stay thank you!

The location suited my needs.

It was difficult to park in the road and obtain the key. Front door handle was loose and the cutlery drawer was difficult to open. When switching on a few lights, there was no light- can’t say if it was bulbs or electrical. Owner has yet to respond from my 3 messages. Asked for an invoice in my business name, still waiting….

Housekeeping slow - Room was only made up after 14h00 on day two . Manager at reception wasn’t really helpful when asked about it .
