Very clean rooms, good hygiene in the kitchen and great food. Super alert friendly staff. Probably some of the best food l've had in Zanzibar. Definitely try their Hamburgers, Steak and Chicken! My stay was excellent! Will come back for sure!

Deze plek is echt een aanrader! Wat als eerste opvalt is de fijne binnentuin. Het hotel is gelegen aan de hoofdweg door Paje, maar in het hotel en de tuin merk je daar niets van. De kamers zijn groot, super netjes, minimalistisch ingericht met mooie details en stijlvolle elementen. Een echt luxe gevoel. De badkamer maakt dat helemaal af: het is een "binnen" badkamer, maar het voelt alsof je buiten doucht. Echt prachtig! Het team maakt het voor ons helemaal compleet: ze zijn allemaal super gastvrij en maken dat je je helemaal thuis voelt. Extra tip: probeer hun homemade hamburger, 10/10!

Very centrally placed, they helped with suggestions of good places to visit and transport. And it is very aesthetically pleasing and peaceful.

Security in the evening didn’t speak English so we struggled a bit with communication but it’s not that big a deal honestly.

I loved everything.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Garten! It is on the top of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! The room was beautiful with great amenities, fantastic shower, toilets and bed. We found our stay at the Garten the best part about our Zanzibar trip. The staff are also fantastic, so friendly and welcoming making you feel comfortable and at home from the start. They have been trained exceptionally well for the tourism/service industry. The food and drinks is another level. We ate their burgers mainly.. this is the best hamburger in the world.. hats off to the chef and the barista for his delicious coffees. 11/10 recommend. Next time we return to Zanzibar we will stay with The Garten for the whole duration!

Wir waren absolut begeistert von unserem Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Hotel! Die moderne und liebevoll gestaltete Einrichtung im Boho-Stil hat sofort eine entspannte und besondere Atmosphäre geschaffen. Besonders die vielen tropischen Grünpflanzen, die den offenen Essbereich verschönern, haben uns sehr gefallen. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und stets hilfsbereit. Durch die kleine Größe des Hotels fühlt man sich sofort persönlich willkommen, und auf jeden Gast wird individuell eingegangen. Auch der Zimmer-Service war tadellos – alles war stets sauber und ordentlich. Das Essen war nicht nur köstlich, sondern auch sehr ansprechend angerichtet, was jeden Besuch im Restaurant wunderbar machte. Besonders schön fanden wir, dass der Hoteleigentümer und die Mitarbeiter sich die Zeit genommen haben, uns zu begrüßen und nach unseren Erlebnissen des Tages zu fragen. Ein großes Dankeschön an das gesamte Team, das mit so viel Leidenschaft und Herzblut seiner Aufgabe nachgeht – man merkt, dass hier jeder Tag mit Freude und Hingabe gestaltet wird. Und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist einfach unschlagbar – für die Qualität und den Service bekommt man hier wirklich viel geboten! Insgesamt ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt – wir können dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder!
