High Corner Hotel

The hotel was above an Indian restaurant; the food was of a very good standard.

Breakfast was advertised when booking, but was not available, was advised when checking in there was a 24 hour McDonalds down the road. The Hotel was advertised as part of a pub / grill / restaurant and images showed this along with typical pub meals, but it was an Indian restaurant only serving Indian food. The room was very cold, the shower was a dribble if you wanted hot water, there was no shower gel, it was empty, had to use shampoo to get washed. Certainly did not get what was advertised .

It was chosen at the last minute because of a car breakdown so availability at short notice

Advertised on booking.com as offering breakfast when they don’t, the bathroom door did not close and the hotel uses Macerating toilets they kept waking us up with the noise

The location was great, the room was clean and like new. The staff was accommodating and were very helpful. The shower/bathroom facilities were perfect and the place also smelt clean. The bed was comfy. It was a great stay and I would stay again.

The free wifi didn't reach room 6 but the staff let me log onto a different wifi which was helpful. There was no hairdryer in the room which would have been good. I think it would be good to have a leaflet in the room explaining wifi, what time needed to check out, if there is an ironing board that you can collect from reception and any additional information.

Saniflo toilet noises Shower inadequate water heat had to abstain from shower , no bedside lamp, no decaf, no biscuits, no drop box to leave key securely. No breakfast
