"A awesome stay in Hermanus with beautiful sights of the whales ..... spoilt by a terrible HOST"

This location is close to the Harbour from where you can hop on the many boats for a close up whale watching experience and afterwards enjoy local style Fish & Chips or calamari and prawn . The locations is close to an existing abalone farming operation and you often get the "unique" smell ... depending on the wind direction ...

An absolutely bad experience from beginning till end with the accommodation from start to end! Late arrival confirm but host never showed up. Numerous calls by us and the gate security to the host and their agents went unanswered. After 2 hours one of the security staff took us to the nearby township to search for the agents. Only to be told that the host NEVER informed them of a booking.. Misleading marketing. This is NOT 3 bedroom 😒. be prepare for a small couch in the lounge area... and make sure it and some of the items utensils are not broken.... least you get charge for fictitious damages and the host withholding your deposit. Better still insist that the agents are present and have inspected the unit on your exit. We call the agents on book out time and they responded an hour afterward.. that they cannot come to conduct the inspection. Two days later after multiple calls/messages to the host and the agents, we received "pictures " of damages ..... enuf said!! As a regular visitor to Hermanus often with out of town and overseas friends and family this experience ranks as one as the most forgettable in terms of the accommodation offering!

Location

Staff more concerned about collecting the deposit, no advice about TV or the fact that the geyser was switched off...only realized this in the morning when water was cold! Dstv did not work until we reported it. Had a problem with neighbors parking like idiots so we couldn't fit our suv in the allocated parking. Furniture and beds are worn and dirty. Had to request deposit back from rental person, no feedback on no breakages. Got the impression not really worried about the details and state of the property! Not recommended. Will never stay there again.
