Great location, awesome villa

One of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. We arrived late at night after a long journey expecting to do what every guest expects to do: shower, unpack, and get some sleep. Instead, we found a significant number of large ants inside the bedroom itself. To be clear, this was not an outdoor living area. This was the actual sleeping space we had paid for. The situation was serious enough that we immediately left the property and had to secure alternative accommodation at our own expense late at night. What should have been a relaxing start to our stay turned into an unnecessary and stressful search for somewhere else to sleep. What followed was even more disappointing than the insects themselves. Rather than taking full responsibility for the condition of the room, the property repeatedly relied on the explanation that Bali is a tropical destination. While that may explain the occasional insect, it does not justify a bedroom being in a condition that causes paying guests to abandon their stay on the night of arrival. There is a significant difference between nature outside and a sleeping area that guests do not feel comfortable occupying. Even more surprisingly, during the dispute process, the property brought up the fact that I had asked questions before arrival, such as whether towels were provided and whether housekeeping was available during the stay. These are basic and entirely reasonable questions that many guests ask before checking in. What I found particularly disappointing was the attempt to use those questions against me, as though asking for clarification somehow made me a difficult guest. It felt like an effort to portray me as unreasonable simply for wanting to understand what was included in the accommodation I had paid for. In reality, asking questions before arrival is a normal part of planning a trip and ensuring expectations are aligned. Most professional hosts welcome such questions and are happy to assist.

Beautiful villa - large bedrooms and bathrooms and very close to so many things to do. Host was great - friendly and attentive.
