The home was conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from the train station and the lake/cable car area. It featured a beautiful Japanese-style room downstairs with tatami flooring where you could sleep.

Communication with the host was somewhat difficult due to the language barrier. We were unable to lift the wooden slatted blinds in the living room to fully enjoy the Mt. Fuji view, which was one of the main reasons we chose this property. The town is a long and tricky commute from Tokyo, taking much longer than Google Maps suggested, and food and souvenirs were quite overpriced. At night, it got very cold near the front door, with heating only available via the air-con in each room. Additionally, the host requested an early check-out and asked us to tidy up after ourselves, including washing the dishes.
