Alif serviced Apartment for Families and Executives

I stayed at Alif Serviced Apartment and had a very good experience. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and well maintained. Room service was good and fast. The caretaker was kind and helpful. The location is very good and easy to find. Overall, everything was good and I enjoyed my stay.

I booked my stay at Alif Serviced Apartment because of its convenient location near VIT, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The apartment is clean, well kept, and thoughtfully equipped with all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Abel, the caretaker, whose friendly nature and prompt assistance made the experience even better. I would happily choose to stay here again.

I had a very pleasant stay at Alif Apartment in Tambaram, near Ooty. The accommodation was comfortable and well-maintained, providing a cozy and homely atmosphere. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The host was welcoming and attentive, ensuring all my needs were met. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

1) Responsiveness of the owner/caretaker - They did not pickup the calls when trying to find the address, or to find items inside the apartment 2) Approachability - Location was highly unapproachable. Cab took us to a different place as the address showed it there. 3) Kitchen - Extremely uncomfortable. Absolutely poor quality vessels. Cobwebs everywhere. Dirty kitchen drawers. Congested place. Unconfortable to use it. 4) Hall - No AC !! Didnt expect it at this price espically having come from another service apartment far superior in quality but costed almost same 5) Bathrooms - Tap water could not be used to rinse mouth - tasted like soap. Water did not drain easily 6) Bedroom - AC did not cool the room until around 4 hours

There was nothing positive about this place.

When I made the booking, I received a text from the owner telling me to transfer a significant part of the amount for the booking within 2 hours or lose my booking (nothing of this sort of arrangement stated on booking.com). I contacted Booking.com and they tried contacting the owner too to clarify on this but could not reach him. I did not know what to do and I was left clueless because it was a non-refundable booking and I had only a few hours left before making the trip to India. When he finally replied me, he had no idea about my booking and tried persuading me to book a bigger room, telling me that the one I booked was small. He then told me that the Family Studio was 40 meters square and not 400 square feet (as stated on booking.com) - the first red flag. The bigger room he was persuading me to upgrade to came at a higher price naturally. Since I was traveling alone and already suspicious of this whole booking, I decided to stick to what I had booked. When I arrived, it was almost midnight and finding the keys was a nightmare in the dark of the night. There was no host to meet with me. The room looked like no one had stayed there in a long time and everything was either dirty or dusty. Forget about taking water from the taps because they are all rusted up, even the ones in the toilet (photos attached). The "fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances" stated on booking.com is a big lie, and there is no "housekeeping service, room service or breakfast in the room", or the "Additional amenities" mentioned. Everything stated is a big lie! Thankfully at least the flush worked. The walls had cobwebs on them and you wouldn't dare leaving anything on any surface because of the dust. I decided to cut my trip short but they refused to refund the balance of my trip, citing that I had made the booking under booking.com and could not do anything about it.
