Sunset Hut Hostel

The location was amazing and the views, spectacular. The breakfast was a simple cold continental breakfast, and for the price it was good. The pool was small but very nice and the property is lit at night. Beautiful. Music and entertainment at reception area. Very island like feel.

Our door to the bed room did not lock. We were at the sea room (Mar) and the handle when twisted, unlocked the door even when the key supposedly locked the door. So with our room unsecured, we could not and would not leave the property due to passports, wallets, phones and personal belongings that we don't carry to the beach or town with us and would typically leave in our hotel room. and sleeping , while knowing that our door was not locked was a little unsettling. When we reported it, the staff instantly tried saying that the door would lock, but once we proved that it wouldn't she said that she would report it, but we left the next day, so we don't know if the (Mar) room was fixed. There is a two room hostel mini house water front. One is called "Mar" which means ocean and the other "Sol" which means sun. The Mar room had the lock issue, but our neighbors in the "Sol" room said that their door did lock. This made an otherwise great stay into an average stay. I didn't like not being able to leave the hotel for the day.

Highly recommended! A really beautiful place. Directly at the beach (no access). Many nice seating areas, hammocks and a pool. Commun kitchen, well equiped. WiFi, free parking, restaurant, free drinking water. AC in the dorm.

Door of the bathroom didn't close correctly, this could be fixed. The dorm room is simple.

Beautiful view of the sea. Cool layout with lights. Great staff especially Oman Chavez , Cristian Deras , Lesly Lara. Good food.

I had a private rooftop patio with my room and people with day passes kept going on. No hot water but kind of expected.
