Poor bathroom

Hotel was excellent. Room was perfect and roomy. The breakfast was delicious.

Nothing. The hotel was everything I hoped and more.

Clean room, newly carpeted. Friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast. Good location. Coffee, tea, biscuits and water in the room.

Shower quite poor. Never got hot and even to manage warm it had to be low pressure. Bathroom quite small.

Michael, the host, was very welcoming and even gave us some free petit four when we popped into the bat for a drink! This is a real old-fashioned style hotel with lovely old school decor and ornaments. It unashamedly celebrates the lives of its owners with their showbiz careers with signed photos decorating the entrance hall. Very stylish restaurant (although we didn't eat there) and bar. Breakfast served in the conservatory overlooking the well maintained garden. Floors a little lopsided but that adds to the charm. Private car park with gates locked at night

I chose the budget room because I got a Genius discount from booking.com, but the room was slightly too small for our needs (luckily we only had 2 cabin bag size cases!) It was advertised as a small room but in future I would pay the small extra charge and get one of the larger double rooms

This is not an ultra modern style hotel. It is a bit quaint and some of the fixtures are dated but the welcome when we arrived and the friendliness of everyone involved makes it a bit special.

It was a bit cold at times but are southern softies.
