Moana Beach House

Beautiful location, very friendly and helpful staff.

It would have been great if the fridge was cleaned out once in a while.

The location is right at the beach, the common are is nice to hang out.

The place is good for relaxation especially if you do not walk much because they are a beach front property. Compare to any other hostel in Moalboal, this is just so amazing. The staff are very welcoming and they also have tours.

Great location, right next to the sea. The chill area/terrasse was really nice as well, but was in full sun (no shade) in the afternoon. You could rent towels & snorkels (no fins!). One evening they organized a free hostel dinner (we don‘t know if this will happen regularly). The other people staying at the hostel were really nice.

The bathroom of our 8 bunk bedroom was always humid & dirty (no ventilation). We did not enjoy the very limited communication from staff. No small talk or info about tours, transport, anything really. One thing that happened to us and some others: they overbook (?) and then place people in different sized rooms than what they booked - we booked for 4 and got put in an 8 bed room (we got 70 pesos/per night back).

Wow, what a magical place. Definitely the best spot in Moalboal. The view and easy access to snorkeling right on your doorstep is amazing. Stay here. You won't regret it.

There weren't any towels provided and the AC was super cold each evening. Also no soap, shampoo or toothpaste in the bathroom. Was inconvenient.

I liked that it had a great outlook; a beach on the doorstep; and walking distance to the town and restaurants. I like that the town has an environmental focus with no burning off allowed.

All the outdoor areas allowed smoking, so it was hard to get away from that. A non-smoking area would be nice. The Europeans in my dorm didn't like AC at night and that was very difficult. Perhaps rooms could be managed so AC people could stay together.
