House in Hastings

What a gorgeous property! I was so pleased to find this on the site, it was perfect. The communication with the hosts was wonderful, they answered all my questions and had great local knowledge. The house is ideally situated just at the top of the Old Town. It sleeps 10 comfortably (no pull out sofa beds!) and has everything you could need for a fabulous stay.

I can't fault it, there's nothing I would change. The hosts were very clear that nothing was provided (no food at all, even tea bags), which was fine. We couldn't work out the gate on arrival, but the hosts answered my phone call straight away. Perfect in all ways.

The house is utterly beautiful, the photos really don't do it justice!! It's been so lovingly decorated, and it's so quirky! The bedrooms are so comfortable and the views are stunning. We were a group of 8 friends and it had all the facilities we needed and more than enough space. Location wise it's also in the perfect spot, and although it doesn't have parking, we had no issues with parking slightly up the road. All in all, we absolutely loved it and would stay again!!

We did message the host about this directly at the time, but we didn't get a reply. The dishwasher doesn't work very well at all, and as such we found a lot of the kitchen utensils dirty on arrival. We had to hand wash everything before use, and then again after use which took quite a long time. We would also highly recommend either getting some new cutlery or giving the current silver cutlery a decent polish as it's very oxidized. I'd also just be advised that it maybe wouldn't be suitable for those who are less mobile, as there are so many steps - but this didn't bother us at all.
