Forte Rose Hotel

Every detail – from the breathtaking views to the rooms and peaceful athmosphere, makes this stay truly special. The staff is welcoming and service minded. The place radiates calm, elegance, and natural beauty. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been – and definitely somewhere I’ll return to.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat without the hustle of crowds, traffic, or noise, Forte Rose is the perfect place for you. This hidden gem on the Montenegrin coast offers beautifully preserved architecture, lush greenery, and even century-old trees surrounding the area, creating a truly unique and tranquil atmosphere. The village Rose, itself has just a few houses, and while the road to get here can be a bit challenging and long, it's absolutely worth it once you arrive. The staff makes you feel like home, remembering your name and preferences from the moment you arrive. Even at the start of the season when the hotel was quiet, the service was impeccable. Special shoutouts to Victoria and Dušan at the reception, waiters as well as Milan at the beach for their wonderful hospitality. The hotel offers multiple beach options: a tiny sandy beach just below the restaurant that feels almost private, a built-in area in the sea with sun beds, and a larger beach with a beach bar just a short walk away. Although the larger beach wasn’t fully open during our stay, the smaller beach was absolutely amazing. Overall, if you’re seeking a breathtaking, restful experience with the option to explore nearby towns, Forte Rose is the place to be. We’ll definitely be coming back!"

A couple of minor downsides: there aren’t any sun beds by the pool, which would make a big difference, and in the restaurant, you can only order a bottle of wine rather than just a glass, which might not be ideal for everyone.

Location is outstanding

Lots of facilities not ready for use. Not allowed to put drinks or food on room - had to pay separately. Charged for coffee at breakfast if you had an orange juice as well - bit much! Needs a bit of attention to detail and the customer!

Lovely staff

Rooms doesn’t have a safe and a mini fridge. Breakfast can be more diverse.

The staff is truly wonderful and friendly. They are available to help you at any moment. I'm sorry we didn't remember the names of the receptionist and the housekeeper. Really, all praise for the staff.

The breakfast was not as described, but more of a "little bit of everything." Which is fine, but then there's no need for a menu with completely different items. The pool is already out of use, even though the website states it’s available until October 15th.
