Knotty Pine Motel

No one was removed from the grounds in an ambulance or police car while we were checked in. Only good thin was that no one bothered my truck while I was on the Charter boat for the morning. I was concerned it would be vandalized.

Everything! No dead bolt on the door. The beds frames were twisted and the mattress worn so thin the springs could be felt. The T.v. was 30 years old and the picture damaged with a white bar through the center of the screen. The mini fridge had sustained extensive damage to the door and hinge. As a result the door did not close properly so It wouldnt keep our food/drinks cold. Bathroom was deplorable. Fixtures came off in hand when attempting to turn on the shower. Grout stained rust brown like poorly cleaned old blood. Towels dirty, stained and had hair everywhere! Window ac unit moldy and kept shooting a clean filter alarm. Even after I pulled the filter and cleaned it. Dark moldy stains on the ceiling. Dry rotten tack paper inside the drawers provided for clothing. Charging $225. Per night to stay in a building that should be condemned, is nothing short of a crime! I would like a full refund, will never stay again nor refer anyone else to do so. I strongly suggest you disassociate with this buisness!!!

The pool was the nicest part.

We were accidentally booked in a smoking room which wasn't good for my elderly mother, but they were very accusatory and rude and blamed me. They wanted to charge an extra $50 for a nonsmoking room which doesn't even make sense because it takes more to clean a smoking room than a nonsmoking room. The staff was rude and condescending. But it was the weekend and late in the evening and there were no other vacancies in the area so we had no choice but to stay. This place was not very accommodating. They didn't even have coffee in the lobby. There were people congregating outside the rooms drying their clothes on the seats in the common area which wreaked of cigarettes, against laws about smoking in public spaces. The sidewalks are crumbling which wasn't safe for anyone, but especially my elderly mother.

It was very close to the beach and boardwalk area. Less than 2 miles.

The room felt dirty. I did not want to walk barefoot in the room or the bathroom. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and there was an ash tray in the room. People were outside their rooms smoking and hanging out. This was not a location I would bring my family back to. Also, the cost was not worth the overall discomfort of being on this property.

The place was very clean, the pool was wonderful and very clean. Staff was friendly! They have a fridge and microwave in the room. Just wished the had an electric automatic shut off water pot so we could make coffee. Thats ok ill bring my own next time. Absolutely was happy with our stay here.

The rooms are decent size. They've recently re-done the floors. There is a good size pool, the whole property is very clean & the owners keep everything clean & in order. They are very nice & make reasonable accommodations possible. This location is up the road from Salisbury Beach, and Hampton & Newburyport are short drives away. The area has a great breakfast/lunch restaurant & dinner restaurant a few properties down. This is ideally located. The cost is good for what is offered & location in relevance to the beach.

Was very clean. Easy check in and out. Refrigerator and microwave in room was a bonus.

No coffee maker in room. Bathroom needs some hooks or towel bar.
