Guests highly rate the beautiful location with mountain views and frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff.
DKA gazillion dollar view - nothing beats it. Very warm and accommodating people. Fast communication via WhatsApp. Really good breakfast. Trecks and strawberry fields walks can be arranged with the owner.
The bathroom is basic without a sink - when staying on the second floor it is not ensuite. For hygiene purpose blankets should have covers. Due to structure of the building you will hear your neighbours plus the main line of traffic. It is amazingly picturesque location, but the noise pollution mainly because of competing speakers in an already echoing valley took away from otherwise breathtaking experience.

ROI recently stayed at an accommodation in Sembalun village, Lombok, and had a pleasant experience overall. The hosts were very nice and friendly, although they only knew basic English words, so communication was limited. They were extremely helpful, arranging a scooter rental for just 100 rupees per day and assisting with our transfer to Kuta at the end of our stay. The location is great, situated on the main road with an amazing view over the rice and vegetable plantations and mountains. Breakfast was delicious and included in the price, which was a nice touch.
However, the facilities are quite basic. The A-frame cabins offer a unique experience, but you can hear everything from your neighbors below or above. If you stay upstairs, you'll enjoy a beautiful balcony with a breathtaking view, but be prepared for a mattress on the floor instead of a bed. The bathroom is also downstairs, which means you'll have to climb up and down each time you need it. Additionally, there's no sink in the bathroom. One thing to note is that you will hear the mosques several times a day, including during the night, so earplugs are a must for a good night's sleep. Overall, it's a charming place with a few quirks. If you’re looking for basic accommodation with stunning views and friendly hosts, this could be a good choice.

GBThe accommodation was very comfy and gave fantastic views of the mountainous scenery from the top balcony. Although we didn't see the host, he was very attentive and helpful through WhatsApp and his family on site were very friendly. He helped to arrange a motorbike for us to rent on our first night to get into town. The bike was fine for short trips but we planned on a longer drive to Tiu Kelep waterfall the next day. I mentioned this to the host and they arranged for a better scooter to be delivered the next day for us to rent.
The only minor improvements could be for the shower to be fixed so that it can be set to a medium temperature rather than scolding hot or freezing cold. Also, if there was a water bottle refill station instead of the plastic cups.
BESuper friendly staff. Always ready to help. The view from the upper room was amazing! We could switch rooms last minute and it was no problem for them. Price-quality a really good stay.
The bathroom was seperate when you have the room above with balcony. Because it was all in wood, little insects could crawl in.
NLThe place has a stunning view of the valley of sembalun, and the beds are really comfortable with a good blanket (which is needed because in the evening and night Sembalun can get really cold). The staff is very friendly and let us grill in front of our room and make a campfire. For 100.000 IDR we could get an extra bed so we could stay with a group of 6 (we rented 2 rooms). Overall the staff were very friendly and the rooms were good! I would definitely book this place again. I recommend the top floor with the balcony as the vibe of this room is better.
The bathroom does not have a mirror and for the top room the bathroom is outside. Also the bathrooms could use some cleaning.
AUThe scenery is absolutely stunning, with expansive fields stretching out before a backdrop of majestic mountains. Waking up to such a picturesque landscape was a daily highlight, and I enjoyed taking long walks to soak in the beauty of the surroundings. Recommended!
