Auberge de Jeunesse Marrakech-Asni

I usually never write reviews but I don't know how else to express my gratitude to the Auberge de Jeunesse Marrakech Asni. I want to thank the staff for their incredible kindness, for accommodating a late check-in as well as helping me throughout sickness. Thank you!

Price, room and location are alright.

Hostel closes the main gate at 11pm which makes it very difficult to experience Marrakech as the streets are buzzing in the night. I asked the staff if somebody could let me in later and he said there were no exceptions allowed. So I took my luggage out of the room again and booked another hostel, losing the money for this one.

Staff friendly and location is good

Just to be clear - this was a quick one night stay before leaving for Casablanca. I have arrived late and left early so can't comment on the breakfast or the atmosphere. Top points for the staff that was very responsive and the guy at the reception who was very friendly. Also, location is great if you're looking for travelling somewhere as it's very close to the train station.

Had to sleep with the windows and doors open as there was no AC (just one sad fan that was unplugged). Street on my side was very loud all night. No soap or toilet paper in the bathroom. And worst of all - got very badly bitten by bed bugs, very glad I haven't left any of my luggage on the bed...

Pillow cover,sheet and duvet was not changed. No breakfast was served or informed.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. It was in a lovely quiet neighbourhood, two minutes walk to the CTM bus station and close to the railway station. Bus 18 leaves nearby and drops off close to the airport for 4 Dirhams.

It would have been good to have use of a kitchen. However, there are some good food stalls opposite the CTM bus station a couple of minutes away.
