If I could give zero stars, I would. This hostel was one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ve been traveling for over three years now. Even before arriving, I tried to contact the hostel to extend my stay—something that should have been good for them—but nothing. No response for five days despite emails, calls, and messages on Booking. When I finally got through, they told me they couldn’t do anything and that I had to call Booking instead… What?? That’s really strange considering that throughout my stay, the staff spent their entire day on the phone. But responding to a customer? Nope! Upon arrival, the place already looked neglected and dirty. Outside, there was a bench completely covered in pigeon droppings, making it impossible to sit. The hallways reeked of unpleasant odors, people were smoking inside, and no one seemed to care. Two poor fish were stuck in a tank with a strobe light on 24/7, probably wishing for death. The first night in the private room, I couldn’t sleep even with earplugs because of the deafening noise from the air conditioning. The next morning, I reported it, and the response was, "Nothing we can do." At least they changed my room (thankfully). Maintenance was obviously needed, but apparently, no one cared. THE BATHROOMS: Absolutely filthy—mold, broken fixtures, cigarette butts everywhere. When I asked for toilet paper, the staff member didn’t even know where to find it… it seemed like they didn’t even work there. The service? Non-existent. As I mentioned, the staff spent all day on their phones. They even charged me 10% extra for "service fees." What service?? I’m pretty sure those fees were just to buy new phones or pay for their internet subscriptions. In conclusion: Avoid this place at all costs. Spend a little extra for a decent stay because this hostel isn’t worth a single cent. And it’s a shame, really, because the location is actually great.
