Central Cozy Stay

Very close to the railway station. Short walking distance to many sights and easy public transport links. Very clean. Spacious apartment with a nice shower and well-equipped kitchen. Easy check in.

I can't think of anything negative. The only things we were missing were a baking tray to cook our frozen falafel and scissors to easily open food packaging.

The place in the city, the equipment, the air conditioning, the calm.

We chose to stay in Budapest during the hottest temperatures (35-38°C every day), and in a big city, the perceived temperature feels even higher. Without air conditioning, it would have been unbearable, but thankfully, the air conditioning in the room is really effective and reliable, cooling the room in about 20 minutes. I didn’t communicate much with the owner since we didn’t have any issues, but he responded to a few messages within a few minutes. The apartment is clean, fragrant, and comfortable, in an excellent location. When we arrived, there were several papers on the table regarding our stay, tips on where to go, the nearest good restaurants, sights, and nearby hospitals. We were satisfied during our stay and would definitely come back. The reviews I read about bad smells are irrelevant to me; during our stay, we didn’t notice any odor, and nothing disturbed us. :)

Perhaps I would improve the availability of phone contact with someone responsible for the accommodation, as I called several numbers listed on the paper and no one answered. The only way to communicate was through Booking. A curtain or some kind of film above the entrance door would definitely be useful, as the sunlight shone directly into the bed and onto my face when the sun rose. After long days of walking around the city, the journey to the 3rd floor was exhausting. There's no elevator, but that's not the host's fault.

The location was adequate, the self check in process was fine, and the AC worked as expected.

The flat looked different compared to how it was originally imagined. The upstairs area was closed for renovation likely due to destruction by a previous tenant. The sofa had no TV viewing angle (only the bed had), it feels like the bed was placed to the sofa's original place after the need for the new bed downstairs. There was no shade above the door, so very strong daylight came in through that around 5AM straight onto the bed, rendering a good night sleep impossible without a sleeping mask. The TV itself was a very old model, with grainy and low quality connection, felt like it was just placed there so they can claim they have one. Same is true for hot water, the smallest boiler I ever saw only allows a very quick warm shower for one person, it is not possible for couples to have their shower one after the other without experiencing freezing cold water. There was a slight sewege smell coming from the bathroom, probably some issues with plumbing, but your nose got used to it after 5-10 minutes. Most of the knives in the kitchen were so bent that they looked like sickles. Overall, some of the details were very poor, which is a shame, because with a little thought and maintenance it could be a decent place.

The property was so lovely, the perfect apartment for our stay in Budapest. The location was incredible. It was 5 min walk to train station and near shops, restaurants and bars. It was also only 20 min walk from some of Budapest’s best ruin bars. The apartment is very modern and had everything we needed. The host was extremely helpful and has kindly put together a list of Budapest’s hidden gems for guests which was left in the apartment. I highly recommend staying here.

Good location and size of apartment.

The apartment felt somewhat unclean, and there was an unusual odor in the bathroom. We noticed a bucket and mop in there, so it’s unclear if the smell originated from them or the vents. The pillows were stained and old, with only two having pillow slips. The bathroom door needed a fresh coat of paint, and the lack of lamps made it very bright in the evening. Additionally, there were no soaps or shampoos provided, no coffee for the machine, too few towels, no iron, and no kitchen roll. These small touches would have made the apartment feel more welcoming and comfortable, significantly enhancing our stay

Location was good and good value.
