Poggio agli Ulivi vicolo di Colle Reti 22 Frascati

For us it was pleasant to be able to get back from a busy and noisy city like Rome to the peaceful place Poggio agli Ulivi. As others say it is suggested to rent a car when staying here. However our additional advice when headed to Rome would be to park the car at Frascati station, which is approximately 15 minutes away and from there take a 30 minute train to Rome Termini. At the time of our stay this train rides once in an hour. When renting a car, another tip would be to visit the Marmore Falls which is an 1,5 hour ride away. Here you can spend some time in nature, strolling around in a park and sighting a waterfall. In February this park is nicely quiet, however I expect it to be busy in Summer. We visited this place, and other beautiful little towns around Rome, since after two days we had seen enough of Rome. When choosing to stay here you should realise choosing for a farmhouse, not a hotel. We did not mind this, you have to be able to see the beauty in it. Staying in February we thought it might be a bit cold, however it’s not that cold in Italy and there are two convectors that can heat the house. Oreste was such a fun and kind host to be around. He’s always reachable and at your service, which is a formidable treat of a host. Being surrounded by vineyards, one day Oreste took us on a little adventure visiting one, and he showed us Frascati. La struttura è immersa nel verde in una zona silenziosa e il proprietario è molto gentile ed accogliente .

Il signore Oreste è una persona eccezionale , ci ha accolti con grande simpatia e semplicità. Certamente lo consiglio ciecamente.

Dentro della semplicità e l'atmosfera bucolica noi ci siamo sentiti come se il Sr Oreste fosse un vecchio amico.

Mi è piaciuto tutto della struttura perché ha tutto e anche di più di quello che ci si aspetta.
