The highlight of our stay was definitely the location—the property is in such a stunning spot, with fantastic views and plenty of outdoor charm. The walking paths around the grounds were a wonderful touch, and being able to see the waterfall was truly special. Unfortunately, the facilities themselves were very bare minimum. The power went out during our stay, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, and the shower didn’t drain properly. We had requested and been approved for an early check-in, but when we arrived, the space hadn’t been cleaned. There were clear signs of the previous guests—dirty towels everywhere, a filthy kitchen sink and toilet—which was extremely off-putting. While I understand that things happen, better communication would have made a big difference if the property wasn’t ready for us. Overall, the natural setting is beautiful and worth seeing, but the lack of upkeep and preparedness left a negative impression.

The facilities were very basic and not well maintained (power outage, no Wi-Fi, shower that didn’t drain). Our approved early check-in was not honored—the property wasn’t cleaned when we arrived. Evidence of the previous guest was left behind, including dirty towels, a filthy kitchen sink, and an unclean toilet. Lack of communication from the host when the property wasn’t ready was frustrating and unprofessional.

La poca atención a los detalles de la casa. Poca iluminación, poco menaje ( no habían cucharillas, no había sartén para cocinar, no había mantel para la mesa, pinzas, el extractor de la cocina jo funcionaba. Pequeños detalles muy fáciles de solucionar que hubieran dado el 10 a la casa.

Probably the best location on Flores. Trails are easily accessible and close to main viewpoints. Views of ocean and waterfalls cant be beat. The house (mill) is very spacious and perfect for a stay where you can feel a little lost in time :-) Hosts were very accommodating with my flight delays which required adjusting booking dates!

The house and the location are very nice, but the property management is not. The huge amount of mold is in the sink, no housekeeping, but you’ve got 1 towel per person for few days, and each next day you should use very wet towel, no bottled water even, the fridge was empty. A lot of spiders inside the house, outside area (bbq and terrace) are full of spider’s web. The electric kettle doesn’t work normally. Now new bedsheets… Wi-fi works from time to time, it’s impossible to work or to call anybody with video. half of light bulbs should be replaced… OK, they installed dehumidifier, it works good, but the size of the wood doesn’t fit to the fireplace and there’s ain’t no axe…Comparing to other properties in Azores, service is so-so, no fresh bread in the morning, the management is not involved in the process. Hope, it will be fixed, cause the place, the house, the wood inside and atmosphere there is amazing.
